I love Alaska summers!
So, summers in Interior Alaska are awesome. The last few days we’ve had sunny days and nights and it’s just a shame how quickly these special days go by. I can’t believe that it’s already mid-July.
Lately, I’ve been carrying a camera around wherever I go. Usually I’m most impressed with the beautiful wildflowers around the area. I’ve included some recent shots here.
A baby note: She’s still in there! I’m officially one day overdue. My feet are like two balloons and I have back pain. Even though I’m afraid of the delivery, I can’t wait. Happiness, anticipation, fear, anxiety, excitement–it’s all wrapped into one giant emotion right now. Adam’s on pins and needles. If we’re not together, he calls frequently to check on me and ask if I think the baby’s going to come soon. It’s sweet. Yep, I love ‘im!

It's hard to believe this photo was taken after 10 p.m. It's a bummer that the days are getting shorter.

I have no idea what this plant is. All I know is this sucker was tall! It was a good foot taller than me!

This big ol' Delphinium popped up right on the side of the road. You can't tell here, but the petals are blue with a pink edge. Very cool!
