Mountain Runner realized

Adam and I purchased 44.4 acres of land north of Fox, Alaska in 2007. Finally, in the spring of ‘08 we were able to begin our dream of creating Mountain Runner. We envision Mountain Runner as the site of our future home, but also the staging area for Adam’s sled dog kennel, and hopefully a future lodge that will cater to outdoor enthusiasts

An avid outdoorsman and a keen excavator, Adam began the process of punching a driveway onto the land. The process was tricky since the property is located on the top of Himalaya Mountain. Some of the land is at a pretty steep grade, but in just a few days, Adam had the beginnings of a driveway, a parking area, and a pad for a cabin.

We hope to put a recreational cabin on Mountain Runner first. This will be our hideaway, and retreat for friends and family when they hope to steal some time away in the wilderness. The site may only be 25 minutes from Fairbanks, but it feels like you’re a million miles from civilization. Believe me–there are very few neighbors in the area!
